Description of Work:

The ideal candidate shall possess knowledge of both Data Privacy and Project Management. This is a highly intensive role and the ability to interact with management from across different levels of the organization is a must. Review projects / initiatives that come in from across all businesses within Citi that have cross border data transfer implications and work with Business, Legal / Compliance contacts in the countries to gain cross border data transfer approval. Develop close working relationships within the Cross Border Data Clearance Team and Legal and Compliance contacts in various countries.


A strong communicator who can partner with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to organize senior-level meetings prepare and give effective presentations and ability to have detailed communication with various stakeholders. Identify process improvement opportunities, analyze reporting trends that may indicate noncompliance, escalate issues and concerns through appropriate channels. Troubleshoot, track, and investigate data related issues. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and construct high-level information details/metrics.


Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in various Data Privacy / Cross Border related disciplines (e.g. risk management, regulatory compliance, incident response management, PII inventory assessments, information security compliance, regulatory compliance training and awareness)

  • Law Degree or certifications related to Data Privacy / Protection preferred (e.g. CIPP)

  • Proven track record of interfacing with and presenting to Executive and Senior Management at various organizational levels

  • Strong acumen and knowledge on risk management

  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi-location team structure involving the development and implementation of technology solutions

  • Ability to collaborate and influence internal stakeholders through highly-developed negotiation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with technology development team on functional requirements and product assurance testing

  • Strong technical proficiencies in MS Project, MS Excel, MSWord, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access

  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to multi-task effectively in a high volume environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be motivated, self-starter who can independently handle tasks with little oversight

  • Ability to multitask, have the ability to understand complex issues and find solutions, result oriented, be a "go -getter" and with excellent problem solving ability.
