Detailed Info: To Support the Core Risk team in a brand new effort for Scenario Risk. This global team, made up of highly talented individuals with years of industry experience and SME knowledge, supports the Risk Development team and the business users globally. The team support the global Investment Bank's risk functions and as such have to provide global coverage and ensure production systems are kept highly available.
You will have daily interactions with Core Support & Development teams. Analyze, document and interrogate system capacity of the Core Components from both a business and infrastructure perspective. Design & implement capacity management solution for the Core Components. Suggest and drive forward capacity planning methods. Contribute to overall reduction of the Core Components. Provide leadership to more junior staff. Provide effective updates to the Global Manager of the group. Establish and drive best practices for development groups for incorporating good capacity planning into system & component design. Work with QA to create regression test packs to include capacity testing and analysis.
You must have big data and financial experience.
Unix/Windows; Database; Unix scripting knowledge; Window scripting knowledge; JMX;
Strong multi-tasking skills.
General understanding of financial data (e.g. market data)
Knowledge of Big Data -
Good Understanding of risk technologies!
Have some of these -- No-SQL databases (HBase/Hadoop, MongoDB, Casandra etc.). Knowledge of caching technologies (Oracle Coherence, GemFire etc.) Understanding of distributed systems & grid computing.
Strong interpersonal skills and clarity of communication. Ability to articulate concepts clearly and succinctly. General computer sciences background a plus. the more they understand about the workings of the tech, the better. Splunk.
