Location: Downtown, NYC - Financial District.

Detailed Info: The team manages and supports a variety of reporting, data transfer, ETL and business intelligence products. Some of the products are proprietary systems like Report Explorer, COMET, Report Generation System, Report Delivery System used by our external clients and vendor products such as Informatica Powercenter, Informatica BigData Management, QlikView, Business Objects XI Reporting, Hadoop and Tableau. This position is for a Level3 support role with global responsibility for a subset of these applications with specific focus on the Informatica products.The successful candidate will be involved in day to day handling of change, incidents, escalations and problem management. This includes application server administration. Technical troubleshooting of infrastructure and user incidents. Server and application deployments and task automation.The role requires availability for weekend and on-call work on a rotation basis.

Development/Computing Environment: Minimum 5 years experience working in an operations support role

-Experience in troubleshooting complex issues related to network, databases, storage, security and operation systems.

- The individual should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high pressure situations for Incident and problem management.

-Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge including the ability to understand the interaction between applications, hardware, and operating system and to provide recommendations and suggestions related to troubleshooting and performance improvement

-Experience troubleshooting java applications

-Strong system administration experience

- Knowledge and experience in Linux/Unix computer networking,

-Knowledge and experience in storage systems (SAN, NAS)

-Strong experience in Unix Shell

-Knowledge and experience with either Perl or Python programming

-Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment

Desirable skills:

- Previous experience working with Business Intelligence applications

- Experience with Informatica Powercenter or BigData Management

- Experience with Hadoop

- Knowledge of HTTP, SQL, Databases.
