In support of business objectives and regulatory requirements, a substantial program of work is underway within Counterparty Portfolio Management (CPM) to expand and improve on the management/allocation of derivatives funding and the costs associated with them.
This is a multi-disciplinary role that will require the successful candidate to take on numerous diverse responsibilities and will necessitate close partnership with senior business and technology managers. A key aspect of the role will be to ensure applications are supported and enhanced per business requirements with no compromise to quality and performance.
The position is aimed at someone who is a seasoned application developer (specifically for a Python-based platform) and is expected to become a SME on derivative funding management/allocation, collateral optimization, and funding risk management. The person taking on this role must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and coordinating efforts across multiple technology teams.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in a Front Office environment, with frequent exposure to and collaboration with quants, strats, traders, and finance. The candidate is expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and experience managing a high level of risk. Typically requires 5-10 years of applicable experience.
The ability to effectively communicate within a multi-disciplined team, across multiple locations and time zones, and to interact with demanding business users.
A flexible, hardworking and "can do" attitude; comfortable working in a fast paced environment with frequent release cycles and rapidly changing priorities.
Seasoned in C/C++, Python and/or Java.
Experience architecting/designing end-to-end application flows.
Strong problem solving skills.
Work in Global Markets and/or Risk Management.
Strong understanding of regulatory rules and applications.
Exposure to Agile methodologies.
The candidate should be a self-starter who enjoys programming, can work as part of a global team and who has successfully delivered significant enterprise-scale projects to end-users previously.
Strong Python experience in a development facility like SecDB or Athena.
Exposure to Front and Middle Office functions and controls.
FRN, CIRO, CFXO, equities-linked notes, credit-linked notes, or commodities experience a plus.
Summit experience a plus.
