Detailed Info: to manage a number of low latency and market data related platforms. Ideal candidate work closely with a team of engineers across market data, low latency development/engineering teams, networks to architect/design platforms that distribute real time market data to our business consuming applications. Role will leverage both custom and off the shelf products to meet a tiered distribution model ranging from ultra low latency to desktop consuming business applications. It is a global team that covers all asset classes.
FORMAL Description: Under Core Trading Technology, the Low Latency Engineering team is responsible for infrastructure, middleware and software used by our front office aligned application teams across a multitude of product areas (e.g. Equities, Debt, Rates). Low Latency Engineering bridges the gap between our application, client services and other core infrastructure teams; ultimately enabling Markets Technology to establish a homogenous operating environment. The team consists of five areas - connectivity, devops, ull storefront, middleware and core engineering.
Development/Computing Environment: Must have excellent C++on Linux / Unix and current experience doing development for low latency Trading Systems. This system is called an ULL - which stands for Ultra Low Latency. Requires - At least 5 years experience in the market data space, on hands technical experience capable of doing architecture/design and working with server engineering and network engineerings, Experience managing a global team in both direct and matrix organizational structure
Strong communication skills ( both written and verbal)
Experience with vendor management such as RFPs, structuring engagements, and overseeing a vendor
Assist in team management
Face off to senior stakeholders for business deliverables
Driving technical direction and strategic vendor choices
Drive costs down and simplify the technical landscape
Manage and drive all market data custom development needs by working with the proper development group.
Managing resources and budget
Managing a collection of audit, regulatory, and stability requirements
Global rollout of a next generation market data solution with a single vendor agnostic API
