Detailed Info: This role is part of the Metadata Management group in the Chief Data Office. The Chief Data Office's mandate is to establish an all-encompassing data governance, data management and data architecture framework across all business lines and functions. This is a high-profile initiative visible to the top echelon of executives. The Metadata Management group's mission is to establish core enabling principles, practices, and approaches for improving metadata and data management across the enterprise.

This role will focus primarily on improving the usage, accuracy, and design of the Reference Data Model through the use of advance data modeling skills.

Update and maintain formal Reference Data Model -enterprise semantic information model

Participate in RDM refactoring and transformation

Participate in establishing data modeling standards and maintenance of related documentation

Participate in Conceptual and Logical data modeling activities

Participate in Data Modeling of Information Assets (IFAs) and

Participate in working sessions with business and technology users to review and assess the metadata for conformance to the defined standards

Support users' mapping of and/or review mappings of data elements, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs) , from consumption data dictionaries, logical models, Target Record Layouts (TRLs), and any other data management artifacts to RDM as well as provide mappings for Enterprise Data Standards

Development/Computing Environment: 8+ years of data/information modeling experience, in both UML and entity relationship modeling

5+ years of financial services domain experience, including coverage of risk, finance and compliance

Knowledge and understanding of the entire data management discipline, including metadata management, reference/master data management and data quality monitoring and measurement

Solid business analysis and problem solving skills

Experience in working with key internal business stakeholders & IT teams

Preferably experience with Sparx EA and various data modeling tools

Preferably exposure to and awareness of ontology / semantic web technologies like OWL/RDF and ODM

Preferably exposure to and awareness of AI/NLP technologies

Preferably exposure to financial industry standards and reference models, especially FIBO and FSDM

Soft skills required to work with a diverse team within and outside CDO including senior executives:

o Experience in achieving results in a project context using resources that do not report directly to you (e.g. from clients, from other departments, external suppliers)

o Excellent presentation and communication skills

o Solid organizational and relationship building skills, at all levels


DEGREE IN Information Science/Computer Science/Applied Mathematics
