Detailed Info:

The QA Engineer will work within the high profile and dynamic Consolidated Feed API development, support of existing feed interfaces, monitoring tools & product team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design & implementation of tooling & infrastructure for testing both our API's and the consolidated feed wire protocol interfaces; as well as collaborating with other product teams to create and evolve policies, best practices, and testing frameworks for distributed systems testing. There will be a high degree of autonomy given to meet these responsibilities.

The QA Engineer will be responsible for:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, testing, automation and overall system quality assurance for Interactive Data Corporation's next generation market data API suite, and consolidated feed support and improvements.


Development/Computing Environment: Duties and Responsibilities

Implementation of test plans, test infrastructure, test automation and project plans.

Creating test plans, execute tests & report results within the testing schedule.

Performing sand-box installations and configurations to carry out testing.

Responsible for keeping products in line as relates to quality, functionality, performance, and usability.

Directs quality assurance functions covering the full software life cycle.

Works with product development team, technology team and customers to identify and assure quality of product.

Conducts system and integration test and validation activities.

Training Support and Operational teams.

Acts as third level support to triage incoming problem reports.

Qualifications:

Skills:

Experience implementing software quality processes and procedures

Linux/Unix skills navigation skills

Python, Bash, C++, Java

Demonstrated commitment to quality with a passion for testing

BS degree in information technology or related area.
