Detailed Info: We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to join our technologically advanced team and be part of the build out and support of this multiyear customer centric next generation platform. The Ideal Candidate would be someone who is experienced working with a wide range of statistical and machine-learning tools to build statistical models, train and test them and drive their optimal level of model performance.
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with IT teams and develop analytical products and applications using Big Data Stack for Wealth Management
Work with large datasets to investigate key business trends, behaviors, and metrics.
Develop, build and train machine learning models using wide range of machine learning tools and techniques
Conduct data model, data architecture and data integration design review sessions. Support business analysts and developers with data subject expertise, query building and optimization
Supporting implemented solutions by: monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.
Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution
Work with geographically dispersed teams (NY & Mumbai)
6-8 years of experience as a Data Scientist in delivering building complex ML models and delivering key business insights and metrics for financial or product organizations
Strong experience in statistical modeling and a very strong grasp of statistical concepts. Must be comfortable in the world of numbers, models, and algorithms
Understanding of how to apply predictive and machine learning techniques like logistic regression, random forest, GBM, Neural Nets, SVM is required
Experienced in working with large data sets, with big data processing tools like MapReduce, Spark, Hive, etc.
Good SQL skills with knowledge and experience in working with any of the RDBMS database
Good understanding / experience in the following domain/technologies would be a plus
UNIX (Experience in any scripting language)
Knowledge of Financial market, lending based products & Wealth Management.
