The candidate will be working within the Digital Products and Services team as a Research Analytics developer. They will be involved in both the build-out of a new Analytics platform and expansion and integration of existing analytics infrastructure, used for generating Index and Instrument analytics to service the needs of the Research and Index business. The platform as a whole is transitioning from a Java/Spring/Sybase to a modern data/analytics architecture HBase/Scala/Spark, so making this the ideal time to join the team.
Development/Computing Environment: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience. Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Understanding of architecture and design across all systems. Working proficiency in developmental toolsets. Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals. Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Programming Languages: Java, Scala, Python, Shell, Spring. Experience with Linux, and Oracle/Sybase. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Desirable skills: Spark, Kafka, HBase, HDFS, C++. Desirable Business Knowledge: Knowledge of some or all of the following: fixed income products, index products, portfolio analytics, portfolio attribution and specifically bond instruments and analytics..
