Detailed Info:

Technical professional to be part of a release management (RM) team responsible for software development life cycle (SDLC) in a highly distributed environment throughout the organization.

This position requires technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills.

  • Responsible for proprietary application releases into the Development, Pre-Production and Production environments.

  • Responsible to follow Intercontinental Exchange Data Services' Change Management processes. Work closely with upper management, development, QA and operations to deploy changes of our proprietary applications in a timely fashion and ensure system integrity and how to reduce regressions.

  • Maintains and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, interdependencies notification lists, sign-offs, and other audit-required documentation.

  • Manage and coordinate work between different teams at different locations. Document all Pre-Production and Production releases in JIRA and ServiceNow.

Development/Computing Environment:

Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or foreign degree equivalent) with minimum 5 years of relevant technical work experience.

  • Strong communication and technical skills including competency using Linux Shell [This requires the candidate be fluent on Linux including its commands, basic configuration files and at least one scripting language such as Bash and/or Python];

  • Use these skills to automate tasks related to software release management.

  • Very strong experience releasing software in multiple environments for multiple applications- this includes knowledge of technology change management systems such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Jenkins, Artifactory, gradle - ability to work with software code versioning systems like SVN, GIT, TFS, experience of automated software deployment systems both for application and system software for highly distributed systems.

  • Experience managing or interfacing daily with a Technical Operations and Development teams [The candidate is the bridge between Operations and Development teams.

  • Therefore needs to have the technical knowledge to understand the issues and constraints both teams have when deploying and managing software in a highly distributed environment]

  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle, including iterative lifecycle models.

  • Very strong problem-solving ability including the ability to quickly determine the root cause(s) and escalate to correct team when necessary..
