Detailed Info: The position will work in a collaborative environment on a team that coordinates service management activities including the following areas: service strategy, design planning, transition, and implementation of best practices, in support of NYU IT OTSS applications. The service management domain includes the ServiceLink (ServiceNow) platform and all proprietary OTSS Software. S/he will act as liaison between clients, service partners (e.g. networking, security, finance, facilities management, etc.), technical staff, and vendors

Required Experience

3 years of technology experience with at least 2 years hands-on or consulting experience in the area of Service Management.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an academic environment, a University or educational institution. ITIL V3 Intermediate Level / Practitioner Certification. Experience in implementing service management systems such as CMDB in support of Service Asset and Configuration management. ITIL V3 Intermediate Level / Practitioner Certification.

Development/Computing Environment: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of the overall ITIL framework and expert level understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Request Fulfillment management processes, as well as Intermediate level understanding of Service Level, Knowledge, and Service Asset and Configuration management. Experience working in a client focused environment and engaging with external clients. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong analysis skills. Ability to facilitate decision-making and consensus between diverse stakeholders. Ability to work individually or within a team environment. Available during non-business hours to support essential functions as needed.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and external vendors in an articulate, professional manner. General project management skills. Experience in a business analysis requirements role: elicitation, analysis, validation, or communication and management. Experience with AutoCAD
