Seeking full-time Technical Writer with extensive DATA documentation experience.
To be responsible for all customer facing documentation detailing the capabilities and most importantly the structured logic of the data that are available on the firm's Data Services
Consolidated Feed and Tick History offerings.
Unlike many other technical writer positions this job is very heavily focused on data documentation as opposed to system schematics and/or software user guides (though capability user guides are a small percentage of the job responsibility as well).
Write clear and concise technical documentation which describes the internal and public financial market data models.
Documentation will take the form of both high level overviews and very specific market implementations.
Create customer-facing change notification documents, which detail important changes to data model and/or symbology across various data sources that are published within Real-Time Feed and Tick History offerings.
Create and maintain user guides for various capability offerings and other content-related initiatives
Technical writing experience preferred. But good basic ability to understand data logic and system architecture is highly valuable.
High level of comfort with MS-Word and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to understand detailed technical concepts, especially around system design and data flow. Excellent verbal communication and soft skills - must be able to interview technical experts and extract information from them for use in documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where changes are constant and timely documentation creation and/or updates are essential. Highly desirable to have knowledge of market data, exchange feeds. Knowledge of financial services, market data vendors, end user customer firms is preferred. Bachelor's or equivalent university degree.
