Location: Windsor, CT.

Skills required for the position: DATA MODELING, ORACLE, SNOWFLAKE SCHEMA , SQL, ETL.

Detailed Info: Fluent in the tools and techniques required to develop Business Intelligence and Data Analytics capabilities including the development of Reporting Dashboards and system Interface development.

Strong competencies in Data Base Analysis, design and programming as well as system conceptualization, design and specification techniques and skillsets.

Designing, deploying, reviewing, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models; including transactional, business intelligence, and data warehousing (star/snowflake schema) models

Keen ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to tune SQL and ETL components to support analytics work streams.

Ability to identify and capture data lineage, re-engineer poorly performing ETL, and profile outcomes along with documentation and approach impacting short term and long term recommendations.

Strong background in multiplatform data architecture implementations.

Organize and oversee the integration of data and migration activities.

Familiar with using ER Studio to build and deploy models.

Leading a team of data engineers, data modelers, Business Analysts, and Data Analysts

Direct interface to a variety of business leaders

Development/Computing Environment: Databases: Oracle Database, SQL Server, DB2, HiveQL, Oracle, MS Access, IMS

Tools/IDEs: ER Studio/ErWin, SQL Server 2014 (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Visual Studio, Business Objects, SQL Workbench

BI Software: Tableau, Cognos Analytics, Power BI, etc.

Platforms: Windows, IBM OS/MVS, UNIX, IBM OS/390

Techniques: Cataloguing and data lineage, reverse engineering data sources, data profiling and development of future state data architectures.

Knowledge & Experience:

At least 10 years of IT experience

Ability to research, reproduce, troubleshoot, and solve challenging technical issues

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively

Ability and willingness to learn new technologies

Ability to work in agile environment and fill different roles within the team

Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision.

The position offers competitive rate for a contract and an opportunity for full scale compensation package for F/T empoyee position.
