Detailed Info: Position Description:
This role requires a senior network security engineer with a strong, broad background in network security design and technologies to lead the integration of security solutions between two areas of the firm. The integration project includes delivery of robust, innovative, and effective security solutions and may include one or more of the following areas of technical coverage: design and integration of firewall DMZ, design and integration of Network Access Control solution, design and deployment of VPN solution, and/or design and integration of Solium web and application traffic with MS Firm systems. The role will require detailed and clear documentation and effective communication to enable close collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams at Morgan Stanley. The resource will need to meet a series of deliverables over the next ~18 months due to legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to discuss and design the integration
Create diagrams and related documentation to propose solutions
Present designs/solutions to wide audience, potentially including senior management
Create new operational procedures/runbooks, as required
Identify opportunities to develop tools and integrate automation of managed products
Systems, network and application troubleshooting
Interacting with Project Managers and service members of the networking, e-business, UNIX, and PC groups
Extensive experience with firewall and VPN platforms (e.g. Juniper, Fortinet) running routing protocols and advanced features such as IPS and Application Intelligence
Experience with large-scale network/security design and documentation
Experience with firewall deployment/configuration and troubleshooting application connectivity
Expert level understanding of general networking and design (firewalls, routing, switching, load balancing, OSI model, TCP/IP, packet trace and analysis using Wireshark)
Strong capabilities with log search and analysis (Splunk, regex)
Experience with Network Access Control technologies, with particular focus on 802.1x and MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB)
Strong experience with UNIX/Linux administration
Intermediate experience working with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Ruby, GoLang)
